In 2017, Kiely and Mike were married and brought Tefiti into their home. Little did they know that this would be a journey that would lead them to a different path in life.
As they looked up ways to train their new puppy, they learned many “what not to dos.” Another fur baby, Buddy, soon joined the family after coming from an abusive background, and they had to learn a whole new way to train. Further down the line, Luna joined during COVID. This time, Kiely started to research a better way to train from what they had experienced. That was how the concept of Anam Cara Pups was born despite neither Kiely nor Mike knowing it then.
The lessons and methods the couple learned were proven effective when Duchess joined the family. Allowing puppies to develop in positive environments and helping them to become confident puppies has become Kiely’s passion and mission for every puppy she trains.
